Paper on Internet Studies (2000-09) Accepted by NMS

After three rounds of revision over 18 months, the paper, entitled “Mapping the landscape of Internet studies: Text mining of social science journal articles 2000-2009” and coauthored by Winson Peng, Lun Zhang, Zhijin Zhong, and Jonathan Zhu, has been accepted by New Media & Society.

The paper will be published as the leading article in the special issue on Internet studies as a field of social science, edited by Charles Ess and William Dutton. The paper describes the major themes, theoretical concepts, research methodologies, and their evolutionary trends based a quantitative review of 16,000+ studies published in all SSCI journals from 2000 to 2009.
