I am Heng Lu (陆亨).

I grew up in a small town named ‘Southern Fountain’ which was located at the Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China. Life is so peaceful there.

I left that small town to Beijing where I began my university life.  I got both my BA and MA degree at Department of Journalism in Renmin University of China from 2002 to 2008. I learned a lot about how to be a good journalist and TV producer there. I gained some experiences on news making during my internship in newspapers and TV stations (i.e., CCTV, Phoenix Satellite TV) when I was undergraduate. Later, when I was pursuing my master’s degree, I did some historical and/or empirical studies in the field of media and communication. I got several of them published on Chinese academic journals and International conferences.

I found it is so interesting to do research on the mass media, communication and society when I was pursuing my master’s degree in Beijing. City University of Hong Kong gave me the great opportunity to be well trained on academic research. Now, I am a second-year Ph.D student at Department of Media and Communication, City University of Hong Kong.
